Zoey @ 2 Months

Zoey @ 2 Months:

I went back to work during this month on January 27th.  The good thing was that I got to break myself in slowly due to many, many snow days that came along.  The snow days also helped my maternity leave to be 2 months instead of just 6 weeks.  It was wonderful.  It sure was hard leaving her but it's something I had to do.  The night before I was suppose to go back to work, Zoey had the sniffles.  She was stuffy and I was scared so I ended up taking off an extra day to take her to the doctor.  She was ok and recovered quickly.  There was no fever or anyting, Thank God!   She weighed 8lbs and 11oz at this appointment.

Zoey has moved up to 3 ounces at each feeding and occasionally she takes 4 ounces. She weighed in at 8lbs 11oz. Now she's beginning to make eye contact more and her eyes aren't crossing like they did before when she was trying to focus. She sure is a sight. Right before her 3 month birthday, she started saying "I Good." I know... it's probably just her learning those vowel sounds as my baby book says, but I like to tell myself she is actually saying it. She is just describing herself. She is a good baby.

Zoey had her first round of shots on Feb. 5.  She weighed 9lbs 11oz at this appointment.  (Though she did have a little of her clothes on I think).  She did well with her shots.  It broke my heart but she was fine after she stopped crying.  She was whiny all weekend afterward but other than that she didn't run a fever or have any other problems.

We spent a lot of time during month 2 rounding up votes for the Cutest Baby in Kentucky contest on WYMT.  It was all just for fun and we had a blast seeing how many votes we could gather.  I think we ended with 400+.  We didn't win but it was fun.

This month also brought Valentine's Day with it.  Zoey sent me a Valentine's Day gift (via my mom and brother).

This was a great month as we spent most of it indoors, all cozy together.  I love staying home with my girl!
